Tip #1 – May 2010 – Bless Your Water & Food

Science is catching up to spirituality these days in the sense that science has now developed the tools to be able to better see the effects of spirituality. The old tradition of blessing water to purify it has been known for thousands of years and practiced in many religions.  Science is learning of the effects of blessing water by being able to see the actual changes under a microscope.  To the scientists, now its now REAL too!

Experiments have been done to determine the effects of human consciousness on water. The results were quite outstanding.

So what does this mean for us?

This means that we can bless our own water.

Our emotions and feelings directly affect water. This can be drinking water, bath water, any water. Water will react and change depending on the emotions that are intended towards it. This is now scientific fact.

How do I bless my water?

Thank it, be nice to it, talk to it with kind words. Your intentions are what causes the changes in the water. Find your own ways of blessing your water.

Everyone these days is looking for some spiritual enlightenment or other and some of the most important things are right in front of us. This is a practice that costs nothing and will most certainly bring something to those who do it.

Bless your food.

There’s water in most of your food. Thank the food before it is eaten. This is another age old spiritual practice that may have much more practical value than most people believe. Watch the video below and then do the experiment yourself.

Tip #2 – June 2010 – Do RAKs Whenever Possible

RAK: Random Act of Kindness.

Does anything more need to be said?

Do more random acts of kindness. This helps people in countless ways from feeling younger to helping overcome business problems, personal dilemmas and even disease.

This is a 100% guarantee. If you don’t believe me, go try it. Do some genuine random acts of kindness for someone and see what happens, notice how you feel. They can be simple. Offer someone food who needs it for example, and not just give them $5 and walk away. Invest the time. Have a bite to eat with them and invest the time to do something good. This is a far more valuable investment than most and its cheaper than therapy with much better results.

Be mindful!

Lots of people want to go to the big cities and go to the worst area of town to help and give to those who need it. We all want to do that and yet the reality is that this would be very dangerous. Some people have the skills to do that, and they do. Others can just smile more and be nice to people in their own neighborhood and make them smile. It still counts as a RAK. Make someone feel good, even someone you know. Pick up a piece of garbage and put it in the trash. Imagine if everyone did that? As Gandhi said, be the change you want to see in the world, 1 RAK at the time.

Tip #3 – August 2010 – Meditate

I could probably dig up a few hundred case studies that say that daily meditation reduces stress, makes people feel better, etc. But I really don’t have to do that. Everyone knows that meditation is a very healthy practice.

So…..WHY is it that only a small percentage of the population does it on a daily basis?

Well, I’ve done my own research and I discovered that its because people don’t know how to do it. They get discouraged after a few times of practicing meditation and a lot of them give up.

Ok, so how does someone start meditating?

Everyone has to start somewhere. So simply sit and listen to 20-30 min of music, and breathe. Really that’s a good start. The key is doing it more than just a couple of times. It’s like anything else, except easier. Much easier than going to the GYM, and lots of people trained themselves to go religiously to be in better shape.

Do you think your mind deserves the same?

And really, it is much easier and less painful to meditate. Pick your time of day and just do it, everyday for a month. I bet you’ll start to like it. I haven’t met too many people that did get into the practice and didn’t like it.

The mind will start to quiet down. You will start to feel more relaxed in your body. For some this takes time and practice, and it is well worth it.

Think about all those voices, the head chatter, finally being under control. Your control!

There are many other benefits as well such as health benefits, hemispheric synchronization, stress reduction, the list goes on.

The best part of all is that its FREE

Anyone can do it, right in their own living room. Play some music you like or find a good guided meditation on
Youtube and GO!

Again, I’ll repeat myself: The trick to making this work is repetition, same as learning to play guitar or anything else. No one is born a master guitar player, they learn. Meditation works in the same way. The more you practice, the easier it will get, not to mention enjoyable.

Tip #4 – Nov 2010 – Tell the Truth, Be Honest

Being honest and having integrity are two of the most important elements for a better life.

The one person one cannot lie to is themselves. Everyone knows when they lied or did something dishonest. Lying about it is pointless unless one wants even more trouble. Hiding behind justifications and excuses is also pointless and often costly. So if you’re one of those people, you may want to keep reading.

Being a personal development specialist I’ve helped many clients who acted in a dishonest manner or lied to loved ones, or did one of those seemingly irreparable things in their lives. Well, it all worked out for all of them when they figured out that past does not equal future. They learned that if they just stopped being dishonest or lying, and started behaving honestly with integrity, their lives changed for the better. It really was that simple.

Sometimes it seems like an addiction. Can’t stop lying! Can’t stop stealing. They even attributed psychological disorders to it.

Looking at it from an ‘addiction’ point of view, the trick is to stop the behavior (lying, stealing, dishonesty) and ride out the withdrawal symptoms. It may take a while for people to trust someone who lied or stole. Yet it has been done over and over in every corner of our planet. People do eventually forgive after the behavior is changed.

This is really common sense stuff.

Once the above mentioned  happens, life starts getting better.

If you are a person who lies or acts dishonestly, then try it! Go ahead and do it. Stop lying and acting dishonestly, make a choice. Then see what happens. It usually starts small and then escalates as you continue to behave with integrity and honesty. One day, your whole world will have changed. No more chasing lies. No more having to hide from your own actions. That’s hard work! All that time and energy will be available to you for doing stuff you like.

It’s hard work to cover up lies. Anyone who’s ever lied, didn’t mater weather they got caught or not, will tell you that its hard work. It really doesn’t make sense. Using all that energy and time to do something more fun is much more sensible.

If you are one of those people who stands up for the truth, behaves honestly and walks their talk, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. Being truthful and being honest is much easier. Much less work and worry. You know that when you behave with integrity and honesty, you get that special feeling inside. The good feeling. This helps having a better life in a big way.

Most people are somewhere in between. They mostly act honestly and sometimes let it slip. Tell a lie. Opps! All I can say is that the road to dishonesty and lies is a very hard one, choose the other path. Be honest. It will work out much better for you.

In life, we always have choices!

This fits in this blog because crime and lies really do not pay. It’s not only FREE to behave honestly and act with integrity, it will more than likely also increase your income drastically and cost you much less money. Dollar for dollar, it really makes sense to be honest.

Tip #5 - Dec 2010 – Think About Water

You know, the more research I do on this stuff, the more it continues to amaze me. Water is truly amazing! Think about it.

  • Water supports life on this planet and life as we know it could not exist without it.
  • We are 80% water.
  • We now know that water will change in correlation with human intention.
  • We also know that water carries intention, absorbs it.

What else does water do?

I think this is a subject that we should be looking into, don’t you?We are 80% water, we drink water, we cook with water, our food is 80% water, we bathe in water, the list goes on and on. This is the most important substance on our planet. Now it seems that science has discovered that our intentions have a direct effect on water. Perhaps there is more to this than meets the eye.Does water act as a carrier of our thoughts, ideas and emotions, like a hard drive? What emotions and ideas can we put in water? Can we ‘encode’ water with our thoughts? When we begin to give an ‘idea’ to water, or a plan, are we then programming water?

Start asking questions.
